Technical difficulties!

Ok, so I use my cute little apple laptop for blogging, surfing the web...pretty much everything. My husband has a nice iMac that he uses for work (he's a graphic designer) which we also upload all our pictures to. Unfortunately the hard drive crashed, which not only means my husband hasn't been able to work but that our pictures for the past year may have all been lost! We will pick it up today and are praying they could recover our pictures. We only had my husband's oldest son with us for the past year, not to mention our other son's Make A Wish trip on that computer!
My point with this is that I have had no pictures available to post :). Our son (the one that had cancer) recently had his 16th birthday party and I made him a super cute school pride dessert table! I can't wait to post pictures, hopefully after today I'll be able to!
In the mean time, check out this awesome give a way from one of my favorite blogs!

Happy Thanksgiving and best wishes to all your hard drives :)

Dessert Table!

My sister and I want to start a Dessert Table business, so we've done a couple just to get our name out there. Did I mention we still can't come up with a name? All suggestions welcome :). So this one was for her church for their Young Women in Excellence night. We prepared goodies in every color that matched every value, along with matching banners, flowers and place cards. We think it turned out pretty cute and very yummy!

Giveaways, catering, busyness :)

It's been awhile since my last post, luckily I've been busy helping my sister cater a few events. I do have pictures and will post them soon! I've been making cheesecake brownies and pumpkin cheesecake bars that caused great happiness :) Oooh, lets not forget the mini bundt cakes. This is all along with keeping these 5 kids of mine fed and not feeling completely ignored!

I'm always looking at other womens fabulous blogs and their amazing creations for inspiration! I've recently ran across one called "The Baking Sheet"...VERY cute stuff and bonus, she's having a give a way!!! Copy and paste her link in your browser http://thebakingsheet.blogspot.com/2010/11/giveaway.html#comment-form and check her out!

I'm getting ready to throw my son a sweet 16 birthday party, still can't believe the boys turning 16! I think I've decided on Black, Red and White for his theme...school colors. Any great ideas??? Hopefully it will turn out as cute as it is in my head!

Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!!!

The Oreo's dipped in coconut were the best!

My sister and I are hoping to do more "dessert tables" at parties.
This was at a wedding reception, but if you're having any kind

painted with food coloring.

Yummy Chocolate cake!

The scouts were celebrating 100 years of scouting. The larger cake went to a cake auction to raise money for the scouting program. It was the big cake of the night and went for over $60!

This was the first time I made a cake using fondant.
It turned out very cute and was a big hit for a birthday
party!
